Expressive Arts

Art as a creative expression has been shown to be extremely therapeutic and can foster healing of mental well-being. The diagnosis and journey through cancer can be stressful, draining, and frightening. Our art programming is here to take away some of that stress through the creation of gratifying projects.

Art Classes

From painting to drawing to craft projects, CSC at Gilda's Club brings in the talent for you to explore your artistic side. Our art instructors create an environment in which each participant creates a piece they are proud to bring home and or share with others.

Twice a month we offer a range of creative projects to partake in to relieve stress, bring joy, and meet other CSC at Gilda's Club members. No previous art experience is ever required.

Jewelry Class

This class will help you tap into your creative side. Every other month, our volunteer instructor, Brenda, with decades of experience in creating and designing jewelry, will instruct participants on creating different pieces. One month it might be using all different types of beautiful beads to create bracelets, another month it may be making teardrop earrings. No experience is necessary, but you must be willing to have fun!

Writing and Mindfulness

This interactive workshop is for any of our members who want to write freely from the heart, become more intimate with the breath, and explore the areas where creativity and mindfulness overlap. This is a virtual workshop held on Zoom. Writing and Mindfulness is a program of Theater Within.
